Hello Everyone ,
Hope all of you who is reading this right now is doing awesome,
I want to share my new found love , passion and profession which very few of friends know about is ” YOGA ” ,
yes you heard it right, when anybody asks me ” So what do you do ? – My proud answer is i am a YOGA INSTRUCTOR – 90% of them are either surprised or don’t know what to say next , 5% say – “oh ok so what do you do ” – LOL , so only 5% of the people i know which includes my best buds say WOW thats so Cool keep it going i am proud of you.
Let me tell you a brief story of me – 2005 March 18th i had a small road accident, which i thought just a crash and went back home after basic medication. In actual i could not stand sit or lie down the whole day and then i confessed to my mom about the accident after which i was rushed to hospital only to find out that i had a Spinal chord fracture :,( … Yeahhh Dammm.
After which , yes i was bed ridden for 2 Months , as the pain subsided i let it be for the next 6 yrs ( Complained about it all of those 6 yrs and did nothing else )
One fine morning after a crazy weekend my roommate ( Sugandha Sirohi) managed to convince me to join a yoga class next door which was my first day and her last day to the class. oooppsss 😛
It was 22nd dec 2011 ( Yes i am good with dates 😉 ), trust me when i say this my life changed.. i was regular, motivated , happy, i lost weight, my skin was glowing, i forgot what being upset , angry and frustrated was.. i cut my drinking down by 90% and very important i was absolutely PAIN FREE.. thanks to my awesome teachers and my only inspiration Prakriti Pitte , Sharan and Ganaga ( all awesome Teachers ) , i never stopped going to my classes.
Always dreamt of being a “Teacher”, an opportunity came across ( will blog the story soon ) and i did my teacher training.. after 6 months of considering various options and talking to all my friends i decided to give up my corporate Job / MBA / Corporate perks / Sleeping late / drinking / partying and ….
” MADE MY PASSION MY PROFESSION “
Waking up at 6 , eating healthy food, meeting different people who look up to you.. make them BREATH , SWEAT and SMILE .. challenges to deal with different bodies , mindsets, aches , pains , injuries, emotions yes it was a life changing event.. right now as i type this i have a big smile on my face and deep satisfaction which i would never discover without being a YOGI …. 😀
“Keep the love spinning” – Yashu
